WANSA
The parents have a thriving association - WANSA (Walters Ash and Naphill School Association). WANSA always welcomes and appreciates parental support. Detailed information concerning WANSA is given to parents when their children join our school and all parents automatically become members. The association organises events for children and parents throughout the year. These occasions aim to broaden social opportunities and at the same time raise funds to provide the school with extra resources. The association has helped to fund an ICT suite, a Multi Use Games Area, the school library, recent playground improvements, theatre lighting and sound system in the hall.

 | Our Goal for Last Year
Last year’s fundraising efforts went towards refurbishment of the hall and equipment. Much of the existing PE equipment and stage lighting was 30 years old – technology had moved on! The hall is used for assemblies, performances, PE, lunchtime clubs and after-school activities, and really needed equipping with up-to-date, versatile, safe equipment for our children to enjoy.
We set ourselves a target of £10,000 and set to work. We are proud to have installed clever new wall-mounted PE equipment which can extend into the hall for all kinds of PE and rope work, great new lights for the stage, ropes and mats. We also responded to a last-minute request for an additional £900 to improve the sound system too – just in time for the end-of-year production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat!
